Awesome picture editing software and SNOW (again)

Yet again it has snowed.
This time only 2 inches, but the fact that it is in March makes up for the lack of snow,
except in a bad way.

Here are some pictures:

Rusty disc brakes as a result of moisture in the air

This is just sad :(

Mitch looking for a snow ball that I threw to him.
Dumb dog.

All of the pictures above were edited with Picasa by Google.
It is the best free software for editing pictures (in my profesional opinion).
You can download it here:

Snow, Six Inches to be exact

As most of you already know, it snowed Tuesday. We got about six inches.

Here are some pictures:

My brother's snowman

All O' us guys

Jessica trudging up the hillJessica with a snow ball

Mitch

While sledding by a pond by our house, we kept getting closer and closer to the pond until...

BAM! I fell in the pond. Well not really the pond, just a pool that branched off from it.

In all of this we managed to watch the inauguration, and I managed to create a website: http://www.reattaresources.com/. Its still a work in progress so don't get your hopes up.

Thanks for reading!

Denny's, and why NOT to go there on Saturday night

This past weekend I want to a car show in Charlotte with my Grandpa.
The account is as follows:

We left Friday morning and had a pretty no-eventful trip down.
When we got there, we went to the fairgrounds (at Metrolina Speedway) and plundered around a bit. We bought a trailer hitch ball and some automobilia (old car literature), ate chicken tenders, etc.
Since we ate the chicken tenders at about 3:00 PM, we weren’t very hungry for dinner. So we ended up eating pizza at 8:45 PM.

The next day we got up and ate breakfast with the guard cat (a gold tabby cat that hangs around the hotel), checked out, and went on to the fairgrounds.
We went to the car corral; saw a Studebaker Lark Daytona wagon, Jaguar XJ8 with a Corvette engine, and a Plymouth Superbird Road Runner kit car.
We walked around a bit more, skipped lunch and started to head home.

Right around Pfafftown NC, we stopped to see a guy with some Buick Reatta parts cars. He showed us his cars that he had at his shop (Including Five Reattas).
Most of his collection consisted of 30’s and 40’s cars.
After we spent about two hours there, we headed off to find dinner…

Dinner, as it happened, was at a Denny’s about 15 minutes away.
This particular Denny’s was very full of screaming children. It happened to be kids eat free night, and someone had brought a birthday party.
We ate dinner, then hit the road again. We got home about 8:30ish with a lot of strange memories.

Lucy (my car)

A couple of weeks ago I was on craigslist and found 2 of my favorite cars (Buick Reattas) and after some negotiating (on the part of my Grandpa) I paid $600 and got a running car and a parts car
Here are some pictures:

It is white with a red interior, power sun roof and a broken back window.

What Will has to say

My new iPod nano's name is Will. And this is what he has to say today in the latest episode of "Lazy Blogging" with material pirated from Jessica's blog.
Step 1: Put your iPod on shuffle (if you have a nano 4G just shake it)
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that play no matter how embarrassing
Step 3: Bold over the songs that someone guesses correctly
Step 4: Looking up the lyrics on any search engine is totally cheating and that's not cool.

1. Way on down to southern Alabama with the guitars jamin' that's where we're headed--Me And My Gang - Rascal Flatts
2. January one I got a lot of things on my mind -- Carry Me -Jars Of Clay
3.
I've got my memories always inside of me --This is Home - Switchfoot
4. Love, love, love, love -- Love - The Beatles

5. This here comes breaking in like bricks to glass like grace to sin
6. There's a little black spot on the sun today-- King Of pain - Sting and the Police
7. Something in the way she moves that attracts me like no other lover --Something - The Beatles
8. Dull as dirt you can't assert the kind of light that might persuade a strict dictator to retire --Shine - Newsboys
9. Lord I come to you let my heart be changed renewed
10. It is the night my body's week I'm on the run --Ride like the wind- Chris Cross
11. Well you can tell by the way I use my walk I'm a woman's man no time to talk --Stayn' Alive - The Bee Gees
12. This song is called Alice's restaurant, it's about Alice, and the restaurant -- Alice's Reaturant- Arlo Guthrie
13. Bodhisattva would you take me by the hand
14. Daddy's gone 'cross the ocean
15. The problem is all inside your head she said to me
16. In this crazy mixed up world there are over 3 million girls
17. Carry on my wayward son-- Carry on my wayward son -Kansas
18. I feel the sun light on my face the I just close my eyes and I trace
19. Jesus is just alright with me
20. There's a girl that been on my mind all the time sussudio -- Sussudio - Phil Collins

On a bar of Dial soap: "Directions: Use like regular soap."
On some Swanson frozen dinners: "Serving suggestion: Defrost."

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom): "Do not turn upside down."

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding: "Product will be hot after heating."

On packaging for a Rowenta iron: "Do not iron clothes on body."

Tagged

Well I've been tagged by a few people so I might as well get it over with.
Well, this is a picture of my favorite little puppy, Mitch on my mom's birthday.
He's not smart but he's not dumb either.
It looks as if Jessica hadn't folded the towels yet that day. (Shame, shame)
It also seems that my dad is teaching him to shake hands with his foot.
The rules: Go to your picture file, go to your fifth picture, post it, and then tag five people.
I Don't know many people on blogger so If you've already been taged, to bad.
You are tagged if you are... Sarah, Natalie, Michelle, Elizabeth, Matt
That's all folks!

Labor Day (and the day before)

SUNDAY...
First of all, we had pancakes for breakfast, and then, Dad decided that it would be a good day to pickup the sticks that he cut down a month and a half ago (maybe more). We finished the meal and cleaned up the kitchen; I took a shower and got dressed. Dad went out to the office for an hour and a half, and then decides to fix our leaky faucets. We tore up the faucet in the process, so we decided to go to Home Depot to get new ones. While we we're there, my dad decided to check out the carpet. (Now, we're getting new carpet soon). Next, went to check out the toilets, none of them we're just right, so we skedaddled on across the street to Lowe’s. We ate lunch at the hot dog stand outside the store (Yum!).
There we got a new toilet for my parent’s bathroom. When we got home, we tried to put in one faucet but we could not because we didn’t have the right pipes. We also took out the old toilet. But we had to go to a party at our pool. On the way there, we got the right pipes from Home Depot.
When we got back (9:30ish EST) we put in the toilet (easier said than done) then went to bed.

MONDAY… (Labor Day and the last day of the pool)
We put the faucets in and got everything working right, then I mowed the grass.
Then we finally got to the sticks. We hauled all the branches to the back yard and started a fire. Then, we cut down almost a whole, dead, dogwood tree (we used to have 5, now we’re down to 3 1/5).
We cut it all up into logs and put it on our wood pile.
Then we went to the pool for the rest of the day. I did a lot of diving.

Well, that was my weekend. Ortho trip today
(My braces are malfunctioning).

Dr. Pepper

Ok, here we go. My deepest apologies that I have not blogged in a while. Anyways, the rest of the family reunion went well. We had fun. On the way back, we stopped at Tyson’s Corner at the mall there. It’s the biggest mall EVER! It had 3 StarBucks, a movie theater, a LEGO store (why we went), three food courts, complete with giant lamps, a Barnes and Nobles, LOTS of people, and on top of all of that… a whole lot more. Crazy, right?
I joined the Seahawks swim team. If you read other blogs, you know we are UNDEFEATED!!!!!! In our last meet, I got 3rd on the 50 free.
Speaking of swimming, Monday night I watched the 4 x 100 free relay. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!
I took a Digital Nature Photography class at NC State (go Wolfpack!) and I took some really cool pictures. (see below).

I got spacers Wednesday and I get braces next week, and on the way back we stopped at Chick-fil-a, and guess what we saw on the way there…

12 or 15 geese, just walking through the shopping center
And on top of all that, in September we head to the beach for our annual beach trip. Yay!
Also, Mitch is in his 2nd week of puppy Kindergarten.
BTW, here is another funny cat video that my aunt sent me: (P.S. turn up the sound)

anyways, steak dinner tonight, so, see ya'

Magnetic microwaves

Ah, at last vacation. Well, sort of. We’re at a family reunion in Maryland that only happens every 20 years or so. We had quite the adventure on the way here
First of all we got stuck behind a house moving fiasco for about 5 miles.
Then in Richmond we stopped to eat at a place called Dot’s Back Inn. It wasn’t the greatest place ever, it was very smoky from the deep fryers, we had to wait 35+ minutes of the food and, it was expensive.
It wasn’t real exciting until we got in the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lane around D.C.
When you get on, you just can’t get off! So finally, after seeing the monuments, the capital dome, the Pentagon, and it’s VERY large parking lots in a fast 5 minute swoop, we got off and got going in the right direction.
Then after about an hour and a half, we got to the mountains of Maryland. I have figured that the main crop around these parts is corn. ( p.s. My mom forgot her camera, so don’t count on any pictures.) Later, we went to Denny’s to eat. They have the ‘Make Your Own Grand Slam’ deal; I got bacon, hash browns, pancakes, and eggs. Yum!
Welp, the actual family reunion is tomorrow, so I’ll blog more later.

Thunder & Lightning & Bacon Oh my!

Alas, it is raining again, this time in the form of a very loud thunderstorm. L

Our dog, Nancy, hates thunderstorms. So when a thunderstorm comes along, she takes the liberty of going in to my parents’ walk-in-closet, lying down and staying there until it’s all over.

Welp, on to other things…

I was just thinking about life and sitting in awe at the fact that every day (until you die that is) you wake up and are still breathing.

Right now, I am sitting in my bed, smelling bacon cook. If you’ve ever had bacon for dinner you will know how wonderful the smell is.

A couple of weeks ago I took my bass amp, put it under my bed, hooked it up to my iPod, sat on my bed and played the bassiest song I had. It sounded (or felt) really cool.

Now I will, on the spot, write a haiku about Lightning.

Lightning By Bassman560

Lightning, quite thrilling

Soundless, bright’ning up the sky

Striking quietly

On that note, I will now end this entry

UNTITLED!!

Ahhh, at last no rain.

Although the rain was nice, since we are in a drought.

I have decided that you all are probably tired of my telling you about my boring life.

So therefore I will, from now on, only write about my life if something earth-shattering happens.

Now that I have preformed my evil deed, I will move on to other things…

Now to think of something (Very Long Pause)……

Ah Ha!! I have it!

I will now make up a story about a boy named Dwaine who is in a tree.

Oh phoo, I don’t really have a story about Dw-

Wait one minute! Some thing earth-shattering did really just happen!!!!

I am sitting outside at a table, and guess what???

I felt something hit my back, so I turned around to see what it was, and BANG it was a hunk of bird poop.

Seriously, how many times have YOU been pooped on by a bird?

Back to what I saying……

aine but I bet you that I am related to someone named Dwaine, he’s probably my uncle’s cousin’s, great aunt’s mother’s 1st cousin, twice-removed’s neighbor’s dad-in-Milwaukee- oh never mind.

This is a video that some relative sent me.

Hope you like it as much as I do.

Now it looks like it is going to rain.

Just my luck :(

Anyhooness

So long!

Rain and why it is not fluffy

It seems that when ever I start to blog, it starts to (or is) rain (or raining).

Saturday my grandpa and I went to a car show.

One thing I really hate is when you go to some specialty show, and there is somebody who is selling some thing that has NOTHING to do with what the show is about!!

But anyways, we saw a black 1963 Studebaker Avanti (for those of you who don’t know what that is, it is a sports car that was made by the Studebaker Automotive Company in 1963, ’64 & ’65).

But, on to other, random, things.

I have decided to randomly make up a poem.

Once there was a man named Dan

He got hot so he bought a fan

He got in a fight where he met his man

He likes his soda in a can

He fixed his omelet in a pan

He had a wife whose name was Jan

His mode of transportation was a van

He had to go back where he began

That was kind of stupid, but anyways…

Yesterday, my friend Forrest and I converted our shed into a club house...

Why? I don't know

Hello all ye faithful readers!
Just thought I might talk about the title of this blog (Sheep and Why They are Fluffy).
I have nothing to say about it, except that it was a random thought at the time.

On to other things.

Yesterday I got three teeth pulled.
Novocain is really freaky feeling.

The things of the week:
Song: Glory of It All, David Crowder Band
Book(s): My Side of the Mountain, Jean Craighead George
Quote: “A dog’s view towards humans: You love me, feed me, pet me, you must be God.
A cat’s view: You love me, feed me, pet me, I must be God”. ~~Pastor Mac

Well, thats all for now!
